Q– Tell something about yourself.

This is Shwetank Shukla hailing from Sangam City, Prayagraj. Uttar Pradesh. Writing and photography are his rated profession and passion. He has completed his graduation in Journalism and Mass Communication and has specialization in news writing and script writing. He is awarded 4 national awards in the field of writing.

Q- Where do you get your ideas?

Most of the time I create my poems through my past experiences or situations I have gone through. In general, I always pick up ideas that stick to morality and ethics.

Q- Give 2 lines advice for aspiring writers.

 To all the aspiring writers out there, ” Just believe in yourself & your creativity ( it’s a rare gift). If there’s no one to read, write for yourself. Never give up, because there would be someone someday and your skills would spread to the world from then onwards.”

Q- Awards you have been awarded?

 1. Indian Excellency Award by India Book of    World Records  for an anthology ” Road from Worst to Best” as a co-author 

  2.  Emily Dickinson Award for 21-day Writeathon by Bookleaf Publishing House.

  3.  InkQuill Holders’Award by Spectrum India for contribution to the field of writing.

 4.  Tagore Sahitya Samman for astonishing and impeccable contribution in the field of literature.

Q- Share any best literary piece ( max 150 words)

Ans- This is my first poem from where I started my writing career officially. I wrote this poem in the year 2018.

AT THE FIRST SIGHT

From the heavens, she came, 

with all the beauty at its extreme. 

even the diamonds faded in shame as they, couldn’t withstand the angel’s elexire.

Her eyes were bright and wide, 

spectaling good in others,

similar to the brilliance of pearls that,

never hides and never withers.

When she looks at the world, 

the scene soothes with merriment,

her brows sleek, shiny and curled, 

capturing the glory of enjoyment.

When she smiles, 

sadness settles away. 

her captivating voice 

keeps the gloom at bay.

Her fabulous charm has moved me,

I’m lost in her. 

I truly feel to be, 

the happiest boy ever.

Her motivation instigates me, 

her inspiration constantly governs me. 

I title her as the lady with utmost innocence, 

and the bearer of purity, loyalty and excellence.

The world comments on me,

that she’s a blind arrow in a dark night. 

But I damn care what others say, 

for me she’s the BEST FRIEND AT FIRST SIGHT.
