 Dreams do come true if you have the courage to follow them. Here is such an interesting and motivating story of Mr Shubham Mahajan who is an entrepreneur who sacrificed his MBA to follow his dream of scaling his startup. After a lot of iterations , failures and success he drove through the turbulent times and is now changing the way students are learning and understanding concepts via his Edutech startup – “Prepsmart” 

Mr Shubham Mahajan has done his BTech from VJTI college, Mumbai after which he pursued courses in Investment , worked with numerous edtechs in India and started his own edtech as well. He is also a serial topper in various mba entrances exams with scores as high as 99.89 percentiles. Also a professional academy cricket player he loves to follow his hobbies & leisure’s as he does his work. The list of his achievement and recognition goes on and on with latest of him being featured in top 40 under 40 most influential entrepreneurs of the country in a leading business magazine of India (June edition) .

Mr Shubham Mahajan has now been nominated & shortlisted to receive an honorary doctorate from government of India &  the United nation for his edtech entrepreneurship contribution. 

So we spoke to Mr Shubham Mahajan and this is what he has to say about what he is up to and his startup- “ I am overwhelmed to received the doctorate, there was a time when skipping MBA was considered almost like hammering your own head with your  hand but I insisted and stubbornly followed my dreams. People will often prompt you to take the easy path and get settled with a secured job but I had my own vision. Education is a problem in India no matter how many edtechs are out there , students still struggle with two major things , one – Deciding what to study & which stream to choose ,career and stuff and second connecting the bridge of concepts and application of those concepts. I intend to solve both of them via prepsmart”

He also added saying , “ With an overwhelming response from students and parents my team from prepsmart is working endlessly to bring a revolutionary change in how everyone studies.

We are not really eying to be an unicorn or a heavily valued company but we are solely focused on execution of our vision and process. To date I have received numerous investment proposal from VCs and investors themselves which authenticates our work. Next couple of years we would work on reaching out to more students across the geography & help them”
