Meet The Youngest Indian Tattoo Collector- Sidharth Gusai

Ravinder Singh, aka Sidharth Gusai, has set the record of inking the maximum number of tattoos on the body of a vicenarian in international and national book records.

The Little Heart Does What It Wishes

Sidharth was born in New Delhi on 24 August to Bhagat Singh & Hansi Devi. He is a tattoo collector and tattoo model. He is an extrovert, a charming child at heart, and a sincere person. He is listed in OMG- Book of Records, International Book of Records, and Asia Books of Records, among others. His father moved to New Delhi from Uttarakhand at a very young age to support his family. The family then relocated to New Delhi.

Birth of a Tattoo Lover

Initially, he collected a few tattoos out of curiosity. The tattoo hub introduced him to a crazy platform known as the Heartwork Tattoo Festival one day. Sidharth attended the Heartwork Tattoo Festival 2017 at Indira Gandhi Stadium. The festival was lined up with International & National Performances in Music, Tattoos & Art. He was amazed to see the community flaunting their tattoo, from labyrinthine designs to intricate geometric patterns.

He realised that tattoos are not a status symbol to beautify the body. It’s his life’s work and passion.

Inking his body brought a lot of criticism. His relatives and friends taunted him for inking his skin. They used to ask weird questions like ‘Are they removable,’ ‘You can get cancer, how’re your parents even allowing,’ ‘You need to see a psychiatrist, etc. His parents were always there for him. But they began to doubt their support due to the influence of relatives and neighbours. Sidharth spoke with them and persuaded them that he would one day become a big name and make them proud.

   The Biggest Breakthrough

In the beginning, he was unable to sketch. So, to learn the basics, he took admission to Delhi School of Arts & Commerce but couldn’t complete it due to financial issues. Then he sharpened his skills in Devilztattooz’s course.

He completed his course in February 2019. He still had to repay the bank loan. Lokesh Verma, the founder of Devilztattooz, had been watching Sidharth for the past two months. He must have seen the potential hidden in Sidharth. At the farewell, Lokesh offered him financial help. He provided Sidharth with the loan’s remaining sum and asked him to return after he got a job.

Sidharth believes Lokesh Verma is the Godfather of his entire tattoo journey. He landed up a decent job and returned the whole amount to Lokesh. He worked on his side hustle with Devilztattooz.
