Early life and education

Manish Paswan was born on 5 March 2003 in Patuawa Buzurg, Bihar, India. He grew up in a family that placed importance on education and discipline. His father studied up to the intermediate level, and his four uncles were also highly educated, which influenced his early mindset.

He completed his schooling up to Class 10 in his hometown and later moved to Chapra, Bihar, for higher studies. He completed Class 12 in Biology from Jagdam College, Chapra, Saran. During his school years, his favorite subjects were Mathematics and Science.

After completing school, he began preparing for the NEET examination, as his family, especially his father, hoped that he would pursue a medical career.

Career development

The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 became a turning point in Paswan’s life. The lockdown interrupted his NEET preparation and brought him back home. During this period, he began exploring digital platforms more actively and started creating short-form content on TikTok. After TikTok was banned in India in June 2020, he shifted to platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Moj, Josh, and Tiki.

He created content in several categories, including motivational videos, love stories, PUBG-related content, shayari, and business videos. This phase introduced him to the possibilities of digital media and gradually moved him toward entrepreneurship.

Paswan’s interest in business developed earlier, during his school years. He became curious about how small businesses functioned after observing a digital studio run by the father of his friend Sachin. This early exposure influenced his thinking about pricing, printing, photography, and business operations.

EK Mindset

In 2022, Paswan joined the Moj app partner program and was selected. This gave him both income and confidence as a content creator. After spending nearly one and a half years making business-related videos, he decided that he wanted to build a business of his own rather than only talk about business concepts.

In May 2023, he decided to start his own company, and on 15 December 2023, he founded EK Mindset. The company works in areas such as website development, digital marketing, mobile application development, social media management, business consulting, and custom software development.

As Founder and CEO, Paswan leads the company’s direction and focuses on helping businesses move online and expand beyond local markets.

Paswan’s journey has been supported by his family and close relationships. He has credited his relatives, including his maternal uncle Arvind Kumar, his maternal uncle Subhash Paswan, and his grandmother, for providing emotional support during important stages of his life.
