Vaibhav Kumar Saxena Set to Begin Shooting for "Daitya – Chapter 2 " with Actress- Director Shona Dwivedi
The much-anticipated short film promises a thrilling blend of horror, mystery, and emotion
Bhopal, India –
Acclaimed Bhopal-based actor and founder of VKS Production, Vaibhav Kumar Saxena, is
all set to begin shooting his next ambitious short film titled “Daitya – Chapter 2”. The film
features the stunning and popular model and Odia film industry actress Shona Dwivedi, who
will not only play the female lead but will also direct the film.
Shona, who is equally excited about her directorial role, shared that her vision for the film is
"bold, fresh, and emotionally layered." She expressed confidence that audiences will appreciate her unique approach to direction, aiming to bring a new perspective to the genre.
Vaibhav and Shona were last seen together three years ago in the hit music album "Teri
Yaad", where their on-screen chemistry won hearts across platforms. Now, their
collaboration returns in a far more intense and cinematic setting.
Produced under the banners of VKS Production and Studio 9X, Daitya – Chapter 2 is a
gripping short film that promises a fusion of murder mystery, horror, and psychological
thriller. Handling the cinematography and editing is Ankit Maithil, whose creative expertise is
expected to add visual depth to the storytelling.
Vaibhav revealed that the film will make use of cutting-edge VFX and artificial intelligence to
enhance the horror and suspense elements. A teaser recently released on Instagram has
already stirred excitement among viewers, showcasing Vaibhav and Shona in visually
stunning frames and creating an air of eerie anticipation.
The plot takes a dark and emotional turn, as Vaibhav’s character considers killing his own
wife (played by Shona) — a woman he deeply loves — in order to offer her soul to a
demonic force. The film explores whether love can survive when tested by supernatural evil
and personal obsession. Can he go through with it? That chilling question lies at the heart of
the story.
Fans of the duo are buzzing with anticipation across social media, eager to see their favorite
pair return in a darker, more intense avatar. This isn’t Vaibhav’s first foray into the thriller
genre—his previous short films "Inside My Dream" and "Daitya – Chapter 1" were released internationally on Amazon (US/UK) and received critical appreciation.
With its powerful performances, emotional conflict, and cutting-edge visuals, Daitya –
Chapter 2 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting short films to come out of the indie
Indian film scene this year.
